Review by Luís Manuel Teira Otero

Benny Lattimore and Peggy Thompson's album Snap Your Fingers I Sold My Heart To The Junkman is a soulful collection of classic R&B tracks. The album showcases the raw talent of both artists as they deliver powerful vocal performances that are both emotive and authentic.

From the opening track "Snap Your Fingers" to the closing number "I Sold My Heart To The Junkman," the album is a journey through the sounds of the 60s and 70s. The duo's rendition of "What Becomes of the Brokenhearted" is particularly moving, as Thompson's soulful voice glides over Lattimore's smooth guitar riffs.

The album features a mix of covers and original songs, but each track is crafted with care and attention to detail. The production is top-notch, with each instrument and vocal track perfectly balanced to create a cohesive and dynamic sound.

Ah yes, the emortal HIT Records out of Nashville Tennessee. I used to buy these sound alike 45s at the local Mini Mart for 3 for $1 when i was a kid. many like this one were pretty good covers, it was only as they began to try to copy british groups that the records got a bit lame. but they sold alot of records. i remember finding HT Records at yard sails and junk stores into the 2000s so theire still around in abundance. and alot of fun to listen to, even today.
