Review by Richard Daigle

The Benson Orchestra of Chicago's album, "My Mammy Knows Angel Child," is a charming and lively collection of jazz music from the 1920s. The album features the smooth vocals of the orchestra's singer, Roy Bargy, as well as the intricate melodies and rhythms of the band's talented musicians.

The album's title track, "My Mammy Knows Angel Child," is a playful and upbeat tune that showcases the orchestra's ability to blend traditional jazz with more modern elements. Other standout tracks include "I'm Just Wild About Harry," which features Bargy's crooning vocals and a swinging horn section, and "Dinah," a rollicking tune that is sure to get listeners tapping their toes.

A good song, popular in it's immediate time, but didn't become a standard. This is the best rendition you'll ever find. Great record.
