SolarKult, the latest album from Blacklodge, is a mesmerizing journey that takes the listener on a thrilling ride through the depths of black metal. The French band has outdone themselves with this release, presenting a masterful blend of intense riffs, haunting melodies, and punishing beats.
From the opening track, "NeutroN ShivA [Sun, Walk with Me!]", Blacklodge sets the tone for an epic sonic adventure. The song's driving rhythm, intricate guitar work, and eerie vocal chants create a sense of foreboding that carries through the entire album. Tracks like "Genesis Reversed" and "TridenT" showcase the band's ability to craft complex, multi-layered compositions that are both aggressive and atmospheric.
One of the standout moments on SolarKult is the haunting instrumental track "The Other Side". Here, Blacklodge demonstrates their skill at creating evocative soundscapes, using eerie synths and subtle guitar lines to build a sense of tension and unease.
