Review by Wendo Oriri

Bob Dylan's album GWW Royal Albert Hall is a masterpiece that showcases the legendary musician's talent and skill. The album captures Dylan's live performance at the Royal Albert Hall in London in 1966, during his world tour with The Band. The album features some of Dylan's most iconic songs, including "Like A Rolling Stone," "Ballad Of A Thin Man," and "Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues."

The album is a rare glimpse into Dylan's live performances during his prime, and it is a must-have for any fan of his music. The sound quality is excellent, and the energy of the live performance is palpable. The album also includes some previously unreleased tracks, such as "Tell Me, Momma" and "I Don't Believe You," which adds to its appeal.

This is the earliest electric rock band along with Butterfield and black bluesmen. White PC "respectable" folk culture resisted and jeered at him at first but Dylan knew. He had graduated by then from Woodie Guthrie to electric music and taking on the invisible barriers of the norm. Other jewish early "white negro" rockers Bloomfield and Kooper were kindred spirits and they could PLAY. So could the Band.

How can this be rare if it's been in a Maysles Bros. 1967 historical film for 55+ years? Mickey Jones—the drummer for that part of the tour—maintains that it was not Dylan who said to "play it fucking loud

Most important and masterful artists will at some point in their relationship with their audience, find themselves in an analogous, polarizing stand-off with their fans: do you want the same thing with different names, song after song, album after album, show after show? Or are we gonna fucking do this the only correct, step by step, formula burning all the maps and logs and records and charts that lead us to safe and familiar harbors, never outside eye-line of our home shores, never closing them and letting go of fear forever, gripping hands tightly, lighting our vessels aflame before we even clear the straights and steeingr for the edge of the fucking known universe and happily sailing right past and off of it -- are we gonna do those parts together? Or am I going off this cosmic cliff into the unknown virtually alone? Your answer will not change my decision and no one's promising rose gardens but betting over the infinity pool's flaming horizon, there not be ALL dragons.

They stuck around to boo. They stayed and booed because these teenyboppers actually cared about this musician. They did not walk out, but rather loudly voiced their protests, their disillusionment, their objections and dissent. It's pretty hard to think of a higher compliment in art.

My favorite performance of the greatest rock and roll song. A big F off to the narrow minded in the crowd. Judas. Can you imagine?

Bit misleading in that this isn’t the actual Manchester Free Trade Hall “Judas” performance, of which only the beginning was filmed, but a composite.

Only the first 32s, with the Judas heckle and Bob’s response are from the Manchester show. The rest of the video is from the May 21st 1966 Newcastle performance of the song, which can be found in full in the BluRay/DVD extras for No Direction Home.

Still fucking amazing, mind.
