About Bukanýři

Czech (Moravian) folk-rock group, formed in 1969 in Ostrava, initiated by producer . Led by until 1972, later by . Initially focused on (partially progressive) rock adaptations of Slavic folk songs. In late 1970s they also began to perform original prog rock and art rock material, mainly composed and produced by , later also own compositions by group members. Around 1980 the group has partially merged with the Moravian jazz-rock studio group Alternativa. Disbanded probably in early 1980s. Among the ever changing group lineup were vocalists Jindra Viatrová, , , , , and , musicians (flute, saxophone, 19691972), (keyboards), (guitar, violin), (guitar), (guitar, 19791980), (bass guitar), A. Egonidis (bass guitar), (bass guitar), Lubomír Konečný (bass guitar), (drums), (drums), V. Hříbek (drums), and others.
