Journey Through The Cold Moors Of Svarttjern by Carpathian Forest is an atmospheric black metal album that takes the listener on a dark and haunting journey through the frozen landscapes of Norway. The album is characterized by its raw and aggressive sound, with blistering guitar riffs, thunderous drums, and harsh vocals that perfectly capture the bleakness and desolation of the winter wilderness.
From the opening track "It's Darker Than You Think," the album sets a foreboding tone that never lets up. The songs are all expertly crafted, with each one building on the atmosphere of the last. "The Frostbitten Woodlands of Norway" is a standout track, with its hypnotic guitar riffs and haunting melody that will stay with you long after the album is over.
