According to Frank Zappa, Chrysalis was "a group that has yet to destroy your mind." Perhaps Zappa was a fan because of the band's playfulness or their strikingly odd arrangements or their lyrics which are at times reminiscent of "Eleanor Rigby" and that song's intimate portrait. Certainly "Cynthia Gerome," "April Grove," "Father's Getting Old" and "Fitzpatrick Swanson" fall into that category. The band's music is strange enough to be both interesting and entrancing. Frankly, seeing their development on a second album would have been fascinating. Speaking of fascinating, check out the double-speed, overdubbed piano on "What Will Become of the Morning."Definitely worth a quick spin.The CD adds eight bonus tracks to the original LP, though two are alternate versions.No text. Foldout-type liner notes with lyrics!

Согласен со всеми, и бесконечно рад, что в мире столько любителей и ценителей Такой музыки. Потрясен тем, что как люди знают и разбираются в Такой музыке. От себя хотел бы добавить, что в музыке этой группы есть еще отголоски группы Gentle Giant. Бесконечно благодарен всем , кто писал комментарии- получил истинное удовольствие. Мне 66, рок слушаю с 1969, рок бесмертен и вне наций и вне политики, я это говорю потому, что я из России, для меня рок, особенно псих 67-72, это все, это планетарно, вселенски. Я люблю всех, кто любит рок. Long live rock'n'roll ! Неподражаемая ни с чем не сравнимая группа. Слоны летают, на танках растут цветы, троли подружились с гоблинами, а гномы вышли из пещер. Просто везде - радость !
