De Rosa's latest album, Camera, is a stunning piece of work that showcases the band's versatility and talent. The album is a refreshing departure from their earlier, more guitar-heavy sound, and instead features a more layered, atmospheric sound that is both haunting and beautiful.
The opening track, "Spectres," sets the tone for the album with its eerie, atmospheric sound and haunting vocals. From there, the album takes the listener on a journey through a variety of moods and styles, from the dreamy "Nocturne for an Absentee" to the more upbeat and driving "The Sea Cup."
Throughout the album, De Rosa's songwriting is top-notch, with lyrics that are both poetic and deeply personal. The band's musicianship is also impressive, with each member contributing to the album's lush, textured sound.
