Review by Bali Vyas

Under My Thumb Got A Feelin by Dontays is an album that showcases the band's ability to create a unique blend of rock and pop music. The album features catchy hooks, infectious melodies, and tight instrumentation that will keep listeners engaged from start to finish.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Under My Thumb," which features a driving beat and a memorable chorus that will have listeners singing along. Another highlight is "Got A Feelin," which has a more laid-back vibe but still manages to be just as catchy.

Dontays' vocals are also a standout feature on the album. He has a powerful voice that is both emotive and expressive, and he knows how to use it to convey the meaning behind each song.

Great performers! Saw you guys at H.L. Richards High School in '67, I think. Oak Lawn snow storm concert? The first band I ever saw live that the drummer had a double-bass drum. The lead singer always reminded me of looking like a David Clayton-Thomas of BS&T. Wasn't the bass player's name Anaman (sp)? He always hung out with Ron Hewitt's older brother.

Hey Joseph, I have a question that may be too old to answer. In my senior year of High School (1971) our post prom dance was held at the Chevy Chase Country Club. The band listed in our Waukegan Township High School annual was The Dontays. My memory is getting kind of mixed up in some areas, but I distinctly remember the band that played was called Dicky Do and the Don'ts. Do you have any recollection of playing this gig in 1971 or do you have any knowledge of the Dicky Do and the Don'ts? I can find nothing on them. I also see listings of the Dantes being a Rolling Stones cover group out of Ohio. Is that the same band as the Dontays?
