Eddie Lovette - Too Experienced Look At Me

Review by Richard Linares

Eddie Lovette's album "Too Experienced Look At Me" is a collection of soulful and romantic tracks that showcase the artist's smooth vocals and heartfelt lyrics. The album features a mix of original songs and covers, all of which are delivered with Lovette's signature style and charm.

The opening track, "Too Experienced", sets the tone for the album with its catchy melody and relatable lyrics about love and heartbreak. Lovette's rendition of Bob Marley's "Is This Love" is a standout track, with the artist infusing his own soulful twist into the classic tune.

The album also features a number of slower ballads, such as "The Way You Look Tonight" and "Love Me Tender", which allow Lovette's vocals to shine through. The artist's smooth delivery and emotive phrasing make these songs particularly poignant and moving.

1969, actually. Released on the Steady label in the U.S. Fair sized hit in its day, and a standout amidst the gradually declining overall scheme of things in terms of mainstream music.

Remember hearing this, and loving it, in Barbados as a kid. He was such a good singer.
