Review by Charmaine

The album Show Me Time Out Mix by Flotsam Jetsam is a stunning collection of tracks that showcase the band's prowess in the metal genre. The album delivers a potent mix of heavy riffs, pounding drums, and soaring vocals that will leave listeners mesmerized.

From the opening track "Iron Maiden," the album sets the tone for what's to come with its high-energy and dynamic sound. Each song on the album is a standout, with tracks like "Hammerhead," "No Place for Disgrace," and "Escape from Within" showcasing the band's ability to craft memorable and powerful metal anthems.

The production on the album is top-notch, with every instrument and vocal line coming through crystal clear. The guitars are particularly impressive, with their razor-sharp tone and intricate solos adding a layer of complexity to the already impressive sound.

The band enjoyed considerable success releasing five singles and an EP, touring extensively throughout the country, and supporting major overseas acts A-Ha, Queen and Simply Red. Towards the late 80s Stephen was back as an influential DJ in both the club scene and the emerging dance party scene appearing at the R.A.T., Fun, Mardi Gras, and Sweatbox parties at the Hordern Pavilion and Royal Hall of Industries culminating with the end of the decade R.A.T. party with Grace Jones and 20,000 strong crowd. Flotsam Jetsam were such a great Aussie dance/funk band......way ahead of their time, & never broke the Aria top 50 in a big way due to the big 'rock' bands playing in Sydney at the time. Stephen Ferris, one of the Ferris brothers - Pee Wee, John, Nick... - was not only a great singer he is also an amazing DJ.
