Review by Christie Moore

Gidon Kremer Plays Beethoven Sibelius is a stellar album that showcases the immense talent of the renowned violinist. The album features Kremer's virtuosic performances of Beethoven's Violin Concerto in D Major and Sibelius' Violin Concerto in D Minor, both of which are beloved works in the classical repertoire.

Kremer's interpretation of Beethoven's concerto is particularly noteworthy, as he brings a fresh perspective to the piece with his nuanced phrasing and dynamic range. His playing is both sensitive and powerful, capturing the emotional depth of the music with great skill.

Similarly, Kremer's performance of Sibelius' concerto is nothing short of stunning. He handles the complex and demanding passages with ease, and his expressive playing brings out the haunting beauty of the piece.
