The Peer Gynt Sigurd Jorsalfar Suites by Grieg Prague Symphony Orchestra, Václav Smetáček is an exceptional album that captures the essence of Grieg's music. The Prague Symphony Orchestra's performance is outstanding, and Václav Smetáček's direction brings out the best in the musicians.
The album features two of Grieg's most famous suites - Peer Gynt and Sigurd Jorsalfar. Each suite is composed of several movements that showcase Grieg's mastery of orchestration and his ability to convey a wide range of emotions through music.
The Peer Gynt Suite features some of Grieg's most well-known pieces, including "Morning Mood" and "In the Hall of the Mountain King." The Prague Symphony Orchestra's rendition of these pieces is powerful and evocative, capturing the mood and atmosphere of each movement perfectly.
