Review by Allen Roh

The album Happy Birthday Josephine by Herman Van Keeken is a delightful collection of songs that celebrates the joy of life and love. The album comprises 12 tracks, each of which is a tribute to the titular Josephine, who is the embodiment of happiness and positivity.

The album opens with the upbeat and catchy title track, which sets the tone for the rest of the album. The songs are all sung in Dutch, but even non-Dutch speakers can appreciate the infectious melodies and upbeat rhythms.

Van Keeken's voice is warm and inviting, and he effortlessly conveys the emotions of each song. The instrumentation is simple yet effective, with acoustic guitars, piano, and drums providing the perfect backdrop for Van Keeken's vocals.

The standout tracks on the album include "Jij Bent de Zon," a beautiful ballad that showcases Van Keeken's vocal range, and "Dans Met Mij," a lively and energetic song that will have listeners tapping their toes and dancing along.
