Best Sunday Dress is the third studio album by American alternative rock band, Hole. Released in 1996, the album features eleven tracks that showcase the band's signature grunge sound and raw, emotional lyrics.
The album opens with the track "Violet," which instantly sets the tone for the rest of the album. The song is a powerful, angst-filled anthem that addresses themes of abuse and trauma. This is followed by the hauntingly beautiful "Miss World," which showcases lead singer Courtney Love's vocal range and songwriting abilities.
Other standout tracks on the album include the hard-hitting "Plump," the introspective "Credit in the Straight World," and the punk-infused "Gutless." The album also features a cover of The Wipers' "Over the Edge," which the band puts their own spin on.
