Live by Iggy Pop is a thrilling album that captures the raw energy and intensity of the legendary performer's live shows. Recorded during his 1977 tour with the Stooges, the album features blistering renditions of classic tracks like "I Wanna Be Your Dog" and "Search and Destroy," as well as newer songs like "Lust for Life" and "The Passenger."

From the opening chords of "Raw Power" to the closing notes of "Louie Louie," Iggy and his band deliver a relentless barrage of punk rock fury that leaves listeners exhilarated and exhausted. Saw this band two night in a row with Janes Addiction opening - two of the greatest shows I've ever seen and I've seen lots. Andy McCoy is the man and Alvi and Paul Garristo are an awesome rhytm section. Alvin wrote a book about the tour called Neighborhood Threat. GET IT for the Andy stories alone. Believe it or not, in spite of Andy, Iggy was sober throughout the tour. Maybe that's why he seems so pissed.
