Initial State - Abort The Soul

Review by Carlos Bock

Initial State's album Abort The Soul is a powerful and compelling work of industrial music that will leave a lasting impression on listeners. The album is marked by its relentless energy, driving rhythms, and haunting melodies that combine to create a dark and brooding atmosphere.

From the opening track, "Redemption," with its pounding drums and distorted vocals, to the closing track, "The End," with its eerie synth lines and haunting choir vocals, Abort The Soul is a tour de force of industrial music. The album is full of standout tracks, such as "Frailty," with its pulsing bassline and soaring chorus, and "Crash," with its pounding beats and aggressive vocals.

One of the strengths of Abort The Soul is its ability to balance aggression and emotion. While the album is full of intense and abrasive moments, it also has moments of vulnerability and introspection, such as the hauntingly beautiful "Solitude."
