The Great, the debut album by Instruction, is a powerful and energetic offering that showcases the band's raw and unapologetic sound. From the opening track, "Great," to the closing number, "What's Your Name," the album is a relentless assault of driving rhythms, distorted guitars, and intense vocals.
The band's influences are clear, with elements of punk, metal, and hard rock all present in their sound. However, Instruction manages to create a sound that is uniquely their own, with a sense of urgency and aggression that is palpable throughout the album.
Standout tracks include "Breakdown," a blistering anthem that features a driving chorus and a killer guitar solo, and "God," a moody, atmospheric track that showcases the band's more introspective side.
