About Jon Foose With Oliver Morgan & The Royal Knights

Producer, writer and musician in Austin, Texas. Foose began recording blues songs and oral histories in the mid 1960s around his home in the Mississippi delta. After four years in the Navy, he moved to Austin in the early 1970s and began performing his own music. Foose moved to New Orleans in 1976 and stayed for eight years, writing songs, performing, recording oral histories and co-producing/co-authoring a television documentary and book on jazz. Foose returned to Austin, Texas in 1985. He formed Red Drum Productions with Ed Guinn and , recording and producing albums for jazz and blues artists. He is the father of .
