  • The challenge of space is great and the effort to meet the challenge must be similar in magnitude and scope. The level of success depends on the spirit of unity and singleness of purpo.se which transforms individual efforts into national achievement.
  • The Kennedy Space Center Chorus is an outstanding example of the "esprit de corps" which binds workers in the space program together in a common cause.
  • Sponsored by NASA, the KSC Chorus under the professional direction of Arthur C. Benington was begun in 1966. This volunteer group is composed of NASA and KSC private contractor employees. Though their jobs differ, the enthusiasm for the work they do and the unity of their faith in America and her goals in space is typified by the rich blending of voices.
  • The KSC Chorus has performed at community Sunrise Services observing Easter, at Christmas observances, appeared on television over Orlando, Florida's channel 6 and 9 and performed in concert with the Air Force Missile Test Center Band and the Melbourne, Florida Municipal Band. The selections given in this album are a pot-pourri of music performed on these various occasions. This music is intended to provide a lasting souvenir of impressions, you as a visitor to the Kennedy Space Center have received here, where it's makers are daily inspired by the unprecedented work being carried on by themselves and their compatriots.
  • The hope and determination of the space program seems to be echoed when the Chorus sings such songs as "Where in the World but in America" and "It's Up to Us."
