Love Battery - Fuzz Factory

Review by Kent Palmer

Love Battery's Fuzz Factory is an album that showcases the band's ability to create a unique sound that blends grunge, rock, and psychedelic music. The album features a mix of heavy guitar riffs and melodic hooks that are sure to leave listeners wanting more.

The opening track, "Out of Focus," sets the tone for the album with its heavy guitar riffs and driving beat. The vocals are raw and emotional, adding to the intensity of the song. "Foot" is another standout track that showcases the band's ability to create catchy hooks that stick with the listener long after the song has ended.

Throughout the album, Love Battery experiments with different sounds and textures, creating a dynamic listening experience. "Cool School" features a slower, more melodic sound that highlights the band's versatility, while "I Want Everything" is a fast-paced, energetic track that will have listeners tapping their feet.

Call me crazy, but was that Cobain @ 1:55 for a split second on the right? It wouldn't make much sense, but I wouldn't put it past the major label to try to sneak him into the video, given majors' idea of marketing and what was popular. Esp. considering Cobain was no longer alive and couldn't say no.

Straight freakticket was a great album. I love their early Sub Pop records, but that one really resonates with me, too. It was filled with great songs. And the Nehru jacket E.P. was great as well. "Illuminated Man" and "Please before You Go" were as good as anything on that album. I just wish they would have kept making music. Confusion A Go Go sucked balls. Besides containing one great song (Color Blind), which wasn't even written for that album (it was an old song written years before) the rest of the songs had none of that great Love battery sound. They never made another album after that, and I f that was where the bar was set i can see why, but I would love to know what happened.

This song is on my favorite cd that a friend gave me in 1994. The cd is a sample cd of various artists from a record shop. CMJ or something like that
