About Luther
Before his breakthrough, Vandross was part of a singing quintet in the late '70s, consisting former Shades of Jade members Anthony Hinton and Diane Sumler, Theresa V. Reed, and Christine Wiltshire, also called Luther, signed to Cotillion Records. Although the singles "It's Good for the Soul{;}Luther is: Noah Crowther, Brian Granfors, Justin Crowther, Ben Collette, Rob O'dea, and Chad Hammaker.

Wasn’t there another Luther album after this one? Before he worked w/ Gregg Diamond? Luther is all over Gregg Diamond’s late 77-79 recordings…. Groups like Gregg Diamonds bionic boogie, Gregg Diamonds Starcruisin, and others … you guys really need to research Gregg Diamond… his music was genius 76-78 then disco drugs got ahold of him and you can really hear his demise.

Listen to Gregg Diamond’s Bionic boogie -bionic boogie 1977, GD’s Starcruisin’ 1978, GD’s Hot Butterfly 1978, GD’s Tiger tiger 1979 … GD’s Hardware 1979 is pretty awful due to drug use however Danger and Stand up and dance are good. Gregg also produced Andrea True Connections More, more, more album 1976… it’s a true Gregg Diamond classic.

I have this album! I first heard it in 1976, in the 90’s I searched for it and found it at some online record store...cost me $80, but worth every cent. In all of the Luther Vandross documentary’s this album is never mentioned.
