Rod Temperton, Prince, Smokey Robinson, Burt Bacharach, Stevie Wonder....!!! Old school will always rule.
2023-04-12
Bodies and Souls is the slick slice of the 80s that you didn't even know you needed. Each highly produced track strives for that next pop hit. Exceptionally notable is the funky Spice of Life with Stevie Wonder on the harmonica, Why Not, and the sultry Mystery. Surprisingly the one weak track is American Pop; on an album trying to produce that next pop hit. Down South Camp Meetin' is the track that brings them back where their voices soar.

Love those harmonies! This version rocks
2023-04-11
Damn! Who is still here in 2022 listening to this gem?
2023-04-11
A lot of people don't know this is the original version of this song and Anita Baker covered this. I had the album, so when Anita covered it, I knew it was not the original.
2023-04-10
This is just one out of thousands of my favorite Rod Temperton compositions
2023-04-09
This song will always truly belong to Ms Baker, I’m sorry,
2023-04-08
Now I do like Anita's version, but in my opinion it CANNOT HOLD A CANDLE TO THIS ONE... MANHATTAN TRANSFER WAS SANGING ON HERE!!

this is the real one. anita performed karaoke. Its the EXACT song, with EXACT matching music, just a changed lead. thats karaoke, not a cover. Its what I make for singers... Karaoke tracks. there is a difference between a cover and a karaoke effort mimicking EVERY single adlib the original singer did. that shows a lack of talent... period.
