Review by Mauro Longo

Four Classic Film Scores by Max Steiner is an exquisite album that showcases the musical genius of one of the most renowned composers of the Golden Age of Hollywood. The album features four iconic film scores, including King Kong (1933), The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938), Gone with the Wind (1939), and Casablanca (1942).

Max Steiner's music is a perfect blend of orchestral and operatic styles, creating a cinematic experience that is both grand and emotionally moving. The album opens with the thrilling and ominous score of King Kong, which perfectly captures the sense of danger and adventure of the film. The music of The Adventures of Robin Hood is equally impressive, with its lively and playful melodies that evoke the spirit of medieval England.

Gone with the Wind, one of the most iconic films in the history of cinema, is accompanied by a sweeping and romantic score that perfectly captures the epic scope and emotional intensity of the story. Finally, the album concludes with the haunting and melancholic music of Casablanca, which perfectly captures the sense of nostalgia and longing that defines the film.
