A long time ago a young Ukrainian singer named Kvitk (Cissy) Cisyk made a version of this song...it never received air play here but in Soviet Ukraine it was played clandestinely when Brezhnev ruled the USSR. It became Ukraine's anthem against the USSR; because of this ALL versions of this were BANNED from airplay in the USSR....but young people from Moscow to Kyiv and Krasnoyarsk found ways to get it out there...Slava Heroyam!
