Mortiis Vond is a collaborative album by two Norwegian dark ambient artists, Mortiis and Vond. The album was released in 1996 and features seven tracks of haunting and atmospheric music.
The album starts with the track "Ferrum" which sets the tone for the rest of the album with its ominous and brooding sound. The use of eerie soundscapes and haunting melodies creates a sense of unease that permeates throughout the album.
One of the standout tracks on the album is "Visions of the Earth" which features a hypnotic and repetitive melody that is both beautiful and haunting. The use of tribal percussion and atmospheric drones creates a sense of otherworldliness that is both captivating and unsettling.
Another highlight of the album is "In the Realm of the Living" which features a driving beat and distorted vocals that give the track a sense of urgency and intensity. The use of industrial sounds and distorted guitars adds to the dark and foreboding atmosphere of the track.
