Review by Troy Credle

Whisky Women is the sixth studio album by Mott The Hoople, released in 1978. The album is a collection of live recordings from the band's 1977 UK tour, showcasing their energetic and raw sound.

The album opens with a blistering rendition of "Drivin' Sister", which sets the tone for the rest of the album. The band's signature sound, driven by Ian Hunter's powerful vocals and the guitar work of Mick Ralphs and Ariel Bender, is on full display throughout the album.

Some of the standout tracks on Whisky Women include "All the Way from Memphis", "All the Young Dudes", and "Roll Away the Stone", which are all played with a sense of urgency and passion.

The live recordings capture the energy and excitement of Mott The Hoople's live performances, and the album is a must-have for fans of the band. While the sound quality may not be as polished as a studio album, the rawness and authenticity of the performances more than make up for it.
