Dead Girls Don't Cry by Nekromantix is a thrilling and spooky album that will satisfy any fan of psychobilly music. The band, led by the charismatic Kim Nekroman, delivers a tight and energetic performance that blends punk rock, rockabilly, and horror movie aesthetics into a unique and captivating sound.
The album opens with the ominous title track, which sets the tone for the rest of the record with its eerie organ riffs, thundering bass lines, and Nekroman's sinister crooning. From there, the band launches into a series of fast-paced and catchy songs that showcase their technical prowess and dark humor, such as "Horny in a Hearse," "Gargoyles Over Copenhagen," and "Bleeding Love."
One of the highlights of the album is the instrumental track "Nekrotastic Extasy," which features Nekroman's virtuosic slap bass skills and showcases the band's ability to create a haunting and atmospheric mood without relying on lyrics.
