Review by Psychowellness Center

Peggy Seeger’s album Everything Changes is a captivating and poignant collection of songs that showcases her exceptional musicianship and storytelling abilities. The album, released in 2014, features a mix of traditional folk songs and original compositions that are both thought-provoking and emotionally charged.

Seeger’s voice is rich and expressive, and she delivers each song with a raw, authentic intensity that draws the listener in. The instrumentation is also impressive, with Seeger playing a variety of instruments, including guitar, banjo, and piano, among others. The arrangements are sparse and intimate, allowing the listener to fully appreciate the beauty and power of Seeger’s voice and lyrics.

One of the standout tracks on the album is “Swim to the Star,” an original composition that addresses the issue of climate change. Seeger’s lyrics are both poetic and urgent, and the melody is hauntingly beautiful. Another highlight is “Gonna Be an Engineer,” a feminist anthem that Seeger wrote in the 1970s. The song still resonates today, and Seeger’s updated version is just as powerful and relevant as the original.
