Australian comedian Rodney Rude's album Live is a hilarious and outrageous collection of his best stand-up routines. As the title suggests, the album was recorded live in front of a raucous audience, and Rude's irreverent humor and sharp wit are on full display throughout.
From his irreverent takes on politics and current events to his ribald jokes about sex and relationships, Rude pulls no punches and leaves no taboo unturned. His delivery is fast-paced and energetic, and he never shies away from going for the shock value when it comes to his punchlines.
Despite the often crude nature of his humor, Rude's wit and intelligence shine through in his material. He has a keen eye for satire and is able to skewer societal norms and conventions with ease.

About Rodney Rude
Rodney was born in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia. He is an Australian stand-up comedian, poet and writer. Rodney's comedy is sexual, insulting and explicit. As a result, despite some early television appearances his act is restricted to live performances.
In the mid 1980's, Rodney was arrested whilst performing his show in Queensland and Western Australia, however, he won protracted legal battles years later in the High Court and has performed without problems since. n

I first saw Rodney in the 1980s performing at the Comedy Café. They were his best performances. They aired on ABC TV back then, but weren’t repeated, perhaps because it was too controversial. Mind you, in the 70s and 80s we didn’t have PC or MSM and social media censorship like today. So some pretty raunchy shows got air time. (Anyone remember The Box?!) This is the only video I have found of him there, I think. If anyone has recordings of him performing at the Comedy Café please upload them, for the enrichment of Aussie culture! ?
