Review by Crystal McMillen

Temple Redneck is a rock album by the Sandkings that has been making waves in the music industry. The album features a unique blend of hard rock and blues that is perfectly complemented by the band's strong vocals and exceptional guitar work.

The album starts off with the track "Mud" which sets the tone for the rest of the album. The song is a perfect example of the Sandkings' ability to seamlessly blend different genres of music into one cohesive sound.

Another standout track on the album is "Blackout," which has a strong guitar riff and a catchy chorus that will have listeners singing along in no time. The song showcases the band's ability to write anthemic rock songs that are perfect for live performances.

One of the most impressive aspects of the album is the band's musicianship. The guitar work on the album is exceptional, with each song featuring intricate solos and riffs that are sure to impress even the most seasoned musicians.

About Sandkings

The Sandkings were a 1988 formed british indie pop band from Wolverhampton who gained a cult following during the late 80's and early 90's. Their first single "Rain" was released in 1988 and featured a different singer from the later releases. After the first single Jas Mann, better known as the front man of Babylon Zoo was recruited as singer. They toured with bands such as The Wonderstuff, Neds Atomic Dustbin, Pop Will Eat Itself, The Levellers, The Happy Mondays and The Stone Roses. After just one album and a number of singles and EPs they disbanded in 1992 following the departure of Jas Mann due to musical differences.

I cannot thank you enough for uploading this. My brother, Chris Reynolds, made this for the band. He passed away on Monday after a long fight with cancer. I’d tried looking for it but it wouldn’t come up. My brother in law managed to spot this. This is a memory for me in particular him being flown to Oslo to film the live footage. He was thrilled and humbled to have been asked. Thank you so much. We thought this was lost

Brilliant, such an underrated band! Such great times, wish I could go back to those days! At the time Jas Mann was my idol (along with Wiz from Mega City Four & Miles Hunt) he was just so damn cool and good looking lol. The Sandkings were like a breath of fresh air and it felt like they could set the World alight and achieve great things and become huge. For those few short years it felt like everything was possible and we were all part of the dream. I was gutted when they split up but at least we had an brilliant album, a great EP and a few singles and a head full of amazing memories where it felt like we were all part of a fantastic "movement" with all the amazing indie rock bands of the time. Wonderful memories indeed! ??✨?
