Rock In The Sea, the seventh album by Dutch rock band Shocking Blue, is a solid addition to their discography. Released in 1972, the album showcases the band's signature blend of rock, pop, and psychedelic influences.
The opening track, "Time Slips Away," sets the tone with its driving guitar riff and catchy chorus. "Dowee Dowee" follows, with its upbeat melody and playful lyrics. "So Far From Home" is a standout track, with its haunting vocals and dreamy instrumentation.
The album also features a cover of The Beatles' "Everybody's Got Something to Hide Except Me and My Monkey," which the band puts their own spin on. The album closes with the title track, "Rock In The Sea," a seven-minute epic that showcases the band's musicianship and songwriting skills.
