I have been listening to the live version the last 40 years. My favourite song on the album...especially for the lyrics,ie Hard Rockers...emerging from the ideals of the hippy-flower power volcanic emergence of...Altruistic Beauty...etc.ie Where do we go from here.I just heard this studio original today. The band are asking themselves and their audience...what the f’ do we sing about from here on in ? Timeless Rock.Cheers for the post.

After all these years I've just discovered that the verse riff is nicked from fairport convention! Portfolio from Fairports first album. Marvellous!
