Speedwhore's latest album "Stripfighter" is a high-octane ride that delivers on its promise of heavy riffs, pounding drums, and raw energy. The band's sound is a throwback to classic thrash and speed metal, with nods to Motorhead and Slayer, but they also bring their own unique style and attitude to the mix.
The album kicks off with the title track, which sets the tone with its fast-paced riffing and aggressive vocals. From there, the band doesn't let up, delivering one headbanging anthem after another. "Hellbent" and "Ride the Lightning" are standouts, with memorable choruses and killer guitar solos.
While the album is unabashedly loud and in-your-face, there are moments of melody and nuance as well. "Soul Reaver" features a haunting intro and some atmospheric guitar work, while "Into the Void" has a slower, more atmospheric vibe that builds to a crushing crescendo.
