Review by Celia Agostinho

Amid The Noise Remixes by Sō Percussion is an exceptional album that showcases the talent and versatility of this percussion quartet. The album features remixes of tracks from their previous album, Amid The Noise, which were created by an impressive lineup of electronic artists.

The album opens with the remix of "Music for Wood and Strings: Section 1" by Dan Deacon, which sets the tone for the rest of the album. The remixes are a perfect blend of Sō Percussion's signature percussive sound and the unique styles of each artist, resulting in a cohesive and captivating listening experience.

One of the standout tracks is "Music for Wood and Strings: Section 4" remixed by Caroline Shaw. This track features Shaw's signature blend of classical and electronic music, creating a hauntingly beautiful piece that is both calming and energizing.

Another notable track is "Amid the Noise: Section 3" remixed by Buke and Gase. This remix takes the original track to a new level with its use of distorted guitar riffs and glitchy beats, creating a dynamic and engaging sound.
