So. True story, believe it or don't.
'Bout 1987 or so, I was in an Army hospital. The docs weren't entirely sure if they were going to amputate my leg or not. While I was 'detached' to the Patient Holding Detachment this movie was on HBO [the only cable channel other than CNN available to us in the 'Limp and Trip Ward']. I got my packet in Central America, a **very** unpopular 'war', and anybody who got eff'ed up there was officially a 'training accident'. My dreams of what I always wanted to be were shot.
But I saw this movie over and over {I liked the variety of music] and I have had a stupid schoolboy crush on Diane Lane ever since. Yes, I know she didn't sing any of the songs, but it took 20 years until I found out the truth of it. Nevertheless, she and a 'rock and roll fable' helped a pretty eff'd up me get through a very hard time. And I'll always be grateful for the myth, if not the reality.

Best Movie, amazing cast within this film, one of my favourites and not nearly given as much kudos and credit as it rightfully deserves. Willem Dafoe, Michael Pare, Rick Moranis, and of course the stunning and incredibly talented Diane Lane.....the vocals of Holly Sherwood, outstanding and the irony is Diane Lane can sing beautifully but they of course chose to have her lip sync which Diane did an amazing job of. This is one of the most incredible songs ever written and RIP Jim Steinman the writer, creator of it. Meatloaf's buddy and collaborator.....again this movie and it's story, the music is phenomenal.....'I can Dream about you'....all of them.
