This was on a US release called "The History of British Blues Vol.1" on Immediate Records before the Guitar Boogie collection came out several years later on RCA. This is my favorite track by EC with Jimmy Page on rhythm guitar from these sessions. His pacing, phrasing, finger vibrato...all impeccable. Another classic that came from this period is "Bernard Jenkins" with John Mayall on piano. I don't know exactly when these tracks were recorded, but along with the EC & the Powerhouse session, they connect the interval between EC's departure from The Yardbirds and his stint with The Bluesbreakers.

The early days...sweet. No effects, pure tube tone.

Enjoy it before it gets removed for cultural appropriation.

I am pretty sure Bill Wyman is on bass and Charlie Watts is on drums. And Mick Jagger plays blues harp on the songs from this session with that have harp on it. Anyone one else hear that too?

some smooth phrasing between major and minor pentatonic .which he stopped doing after cream. but these transitions he plays are seamless and fluid. I don't know why he stopped doing this but he was a master f this .I got this Guitar Boogie album when I was 12 and loved it ,I think all the leads are Eric. great shit. wish he never stopped.

Love this early Brit blues when it was still earnestly trying to be traditional.

This is from an album called "Guitar Boogie". I would have to look to be sure but I believe its '66. It's Clapton,Beck, and Page! They all combine in pairs on all tracks. I got this back in about '81 and have had a hard time not wearing out the vinyl.
