Autoportrait, the ninth studio album by Yves Simon, is a stunning tribute to the French singer-songwriter's illustrious career. Released in 2012, the album features a collection of 12 songs that showcase Simon's signature style of introspective and poetic lyrics, coupled with his unique blend of folk, rock, and pop music.
The album opens with "J'aurais voulu", a melancholic ballad that sets the tone for the rest of the album. Simon's voice is soft and soothing, and the lyrics speak of lost opportunities and unfulfilled dreams. "Au pays des merveilles de Juliet", the second track, is a whimsical love song that transports the listener to a magical world of romance and adventure.
