Review by Kelly Grimm

Acid Mikhalych's new album, Transistor Bassed, is a thrilling and electrifying addition to the electronic music scene. The album is a perfect blend of classic acid house and modern electronic sounds, showcasing Mikhalych's impressive production skills and ear for captivating melodies.

The album opens with "Transistor," a pulsating track that immediately sets the tone for the rest of the album. The bassline is thick and groovy, and the percussion is tight and precise. "Bassline Generator" is another standout track, with its infectious synth melody and driving rhythm.

Mikhalych also shows his versatility on tracks like "Lost in Space," which features a more atmospheric and dreamy sound, and "808 State of Mind," which pays homage to the classic Roland TR-808 drum machine.

About Acid Mikhalych

Ive been addicted to electronic sounds since early childhood. As for techno & stuff, it all started in 1995 with first Mo-Do tape. Occasionally, buying different music, I came across some things like early hardtrance and happy hardcore, which i liked even more. But severe addiction started with occasionally picked Thunderdome compilation, which blew my imagination with first 20 seconds of playback. Years of phreaking with CDs and tapes made me discover Acid as stand alone trend in music with its hypnotizing 303 squelches. Being hard to the bone fan of particular music styles I tried to find anything about acieed: history, technology and tracks of course. Years passed with software experiments and in search of multiple sour releases but 303 was always a never ending dream. As for my hardware obsession - its an evident classics acid was built on - a well-known hardware. So, why not to keep the tradition alive? Possessing such cult synths, each one with its own character and specifications, has become my goal. Some may call it cliche, but what the hell?! Its classic!!! Thats why I bought SH-101 back in 2006 and would hardly stop grabbing another piece of vintage hardware until now, with 2 303s, 909, 707, 606, RE 501, etc. Well, still looking forward to new - old sonic forms in acid and hardcore& Stay tuned!
