About Albie Louw

South african pianist, composer and baritone vocalist, born on 10 February 1926 near Malmesbury, South Africa - passed away on 5 February 2017. He took piano and singing in Stellenbosch and then studied at the College of Music in Cape Town. During his studies in Cape Town, he joined the university's opera group and during his career, which lasted until 1970, played roles in operas such as Don Giovanni, Tosca and Le Nozze de Figaro.
