I still have this record and I remember every word of it. Love the “That’s One!!” story. Thanks for saving me the trouble of pulling out the LP.

Thank you for uploading this! I lost my copy of "Stories to be read in the dark or with the lights off. I can't remember super well right now. I love hearing Alfred narrate his work,no on but maybe a few can do it justice. You even got a new subscriber ?

a little too aggressive on the audio cleanup-underwater artifacts.

Glad I bought the original LP because my original vinyl looked like it had been cleaned with a brillo pad! IMO, it's the greatest record ever made.

I loved this record, my brothers and I played it over and over so much that to this day, I can recite it completely. Later in life when my own daughters were young, I found a copy in a record store. Now they have it memorized and are playing it for their children. Phone conversations are very funny, or annoying if you ask my wife :)

I think I about wore this record out as a kid. I wonder if it is still at my parent's house.

I got this LP as a 7 year old, and this first digest of the Bulwer-Lytton classic kept my bedroom light on all night!

I listened to this over and over again when I was young, so much that I could almost recite the story along with the narrator fifty years later.
