Babes In Toyland - Painkillers

Babes In Toyland's 1996 album Painkillers is a hard-hitting, grunge-infused masterpiece that showcases the band's raw talent and unapologetic attitude. From the opening track "Jungle Train" to the closing "Hello", the album takes listeners on a wild ride through the band's signature sound.
Lead singer Kat Bjelland's haunting vocals are complemented by the heavy, distorted guitar riffs of Lori Barbero and Maureen Herman's pounding basslines. Songs like "Spit to See the Shine" and "Bruise Violet" are anthems of female empowerment, while tracks like "Handsome & Gretel" and "Blood" showcase the band's ability to create dark, brooding atmospheres.

About Babes In Toyland
American Rock / Grunge band, formed in 1987 in Minneapolis.
Babes In Toyland split in 2001, but reunited more than a decade later in August 2014.
In August 2015 Maureen Herman announced that she's no longer with the band.
In 2020, Lori Barbero announced the band split once again.

This album is a REAL masterpiece of 90's western music. Because of its intensity, its tension, its energy, It deserves 5 stars !
