Mikrokosmos Suite Two Portraits For Orchestra by Bartók Serly is a musical masterpiece that showcases the incredible talents of the New Symphony Orchestra of London, Tibor Serly, Franco Autori, and Jean Pougnet. This album is an exceptional combination of classical and modern music that is sure to captivate any listener.

The album is divided into two parts, both of which are equally impressive. The first part, Mikrokosmos Suite, is a collection of six pieces that blend traditional Hungarian folk music with contemporary orchestral music. The result is a unique and captivating sound that is both modern and traditional.

The second part of the album, Two Portraits For Orchestra, is a stunning display of Bartók Serly's composition skills. The two pieces, titled "Portraits of a Woman" and "Portraits of a Man," are both incredibly emotive and expressive. They showcase the full range of the orchestra's abilities and leave the listener feeling as though they have been on a journey through the composer's mind.

The New Symphony Orchestra of London, under the direction of Tibor Serly, performs flawlessly throughout the album. Their ability to seamlessly transition between the traditional and modern elements of the music is truly impressive. Franco Autori and Jean Pougnet also deliver standout performances on the violin, adding an extra layer of depth and emotion to the music.

Born: 1881-03-25 (Nagyszentmiklós, Magyar Királyság). Died: September 26, 1945 (New York, New York, United States). Béla Viktor János Bartók was a Hungarian composer, pianist, ethnomusicologist and collector of Eastern European and Middle Eastern folk music (born 25/03/1881 in Nagyszentmiklós, today Sânnicolau Mare, Romania - died 25/09/1945 in New York, U.S.A). He is considered one of the greatest composers of the twentieth century; his vast production reveals a daring and restless harmonic instinct that is affected by his passionate studies on Hungarian folk songs. Typical elements of Béla Bartók style (derived from Hungarian, Transylvanian and Romanian folklore) consists in the use of irregular rhythms and a clear preference for obsessive rhythms. His compositions have sonorities, sometimes abstract, but often harsh, rough and barbaric. Married to the pianist . His 2nd son, became a recording engineer.
