Review by Elaine Laurence

Jazz From Great TV Shows by Bob Mersey is an exceptional album that showcases the versatility and talent of the artist. The album features jazz renditions of classic TV show themes, and Mersey's arrangements are both innovative and faithful to the original melodies. The album starts with the iconic theme from The Pink Panther, and Mersey's interpretation is dynamic and playful, capturing the essence of the show's mischievous character.

The album also features themes from other popular TV shows, including Mission: Impossible, The Avengers, and The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Mersey's arrangements are sophisticated and intricate, incorporating complex harmonies and rhythmic patterns that elevate the music beyond mere background themes. The album's standout track is undoubtedly the theme from The Twilight Zone, which Mersey transforms into a haunting and eerie jazz ballad that is both beautiful and unsettling.
