About Bobbie Britton

English vocalist who joined the Ted Heath band in 1954. He also recorded as a solo artist. Born 14 July 1932 in Windsor, Berkshire, he married Margaret Rose Adams in Kensington on 4 August 1959. Britton went into music publishing in the late 1950s. He died on 21 October 2009, aged 77. He had been living in West Byfleet, Surrey. His wife Margaret (17 Apr 1934 - 15 Sep 2002) had predeceased him. Buried in St Michael and All Angels Churchyard in Sunninghill, Berkshire, with Margaret, his gravestone reads "No more music".
