Review by marie linda bluto

Calvin Grayson's album Where Do I Belong Big Brother is a heartfelt and introspective journey through the artist's personal experiences and struggles. The album features a mix of acoustic and electronic sounds, with Grayson's soulful vocals at the forefront of each track.

The opening track, "Lost and Found," sets the tone for the album with its melancholic yet hopeful lyrics. "Better Days" and "In My Head" showcase Grayson's ability to blend electronic beats with acoustic guitar, creating a unique sound that is both modern and timeless.

The album's title track, "Where Do I Belong Big Brother," is a standout with its haunting melody and poignant lyrics about identity and belonging. "Broken Mirrors" is another highlight, with its stripped-down acoustic sound and raw vulnerability.

Another fantastic song by Russ Titleman.  He's relatively unknown compared with Goffin & King, Mann & Weil, Greenwich & Barry and Leiber & Stoller and David Gates.  But he shouldn't be.

Calvin was 17 yrs old when he recorded this record. It may have been one that Lou Rawls rejected

I had video hidden and thought it was a LOU RAWLS record at first. Another gem from Anthony !!

I haven't read anything indicating that this could have been a demo that was rejected by Lou Rawls. The backing track sounds like it could have had Lou sing the lead just as easily. Much of that has to do with the fact that the session was recorded in the same studio with the same musicians presen that were on Lou's Capitol recordings during that same period.

and it has nothing to do with the lou rawls song in the playlist just before this. almost makes me wonder if Calvin was Lou's warmup/demo singer and Lou rejected this and they gave it to Calvin....any info about that Anthony maybe?
