Strong album that plays very well when compared to 1964 LPs by The Beach Boys, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. Chuck did some of his very best stuff right after getting out of prison and much of it is on this album.

Though beyond the years which most would consider to constitute his prime, Chuck Berry showed he still had it with this 1960s collection. Though much of the music is derivative of his own earlier hits, Berry composed new lyrics for tracks like "No Particular Place to Go," which became a classic in its own right. Most importantly, he also included some entirely new compositions, some of which rank among his best songs, such as "Promised Land" and "You Never Can Tell." Throw in a few enjoyable instrumentals, capable blues covers, and yes a couple of lackluster throwaways, and you have a more than solid rock
