Way before Bananarama in the 80s-90s there were the Dixie-Cups, the Ronettes among many others all experiencing various degrees of success; in general the differentialing factor was always good song-writing and in this album we get some of the best ever including from the famous Brill Building. Highly influential even beyond Bananarama till today in one form or another we can expect groups like these coming up from time to time. As for this album any music historian or fan of good music should have this in their sonic library. Highly recommended.
