Review by ade dananta

Four Classic Albums by Dizzy Gillespie, AllStar Groups & Big Band is a must-have collection for any jazz lover. This album features four of Dizzy Gillespie's most iconic albums, including "The Champ," "Dizzy Gillespie and his Orchestra," "Bird and Diz," and "For Musicians Only."

The album showcases Gillespie's incredible talent as a trumpeter and bandleader. His virtuosity is evident in every track, from the soaring melodies of "The Champ" to the intricate harmonies of "For Musicians Only." The AllStar Groups and Big Band provide a perfect backdrop for Gillespie's improvisations, with tight rhythms and dynamic arrangements that showcase the individual talents of each musician.

One of the highlights of the album is the collaboration between Gillespie and Charlie Parker on "Bird and Diz." The two jazz legends push each other to new heights, with Parker's saxophone weaving in and out of Gillespie's trumpet lines to create a truly magical sound.
