Embalmed - Scattering the Ashes of War

Review by Anggi Prihadi

Embalmed's album Scattering the Ashes of War is a brutal and unrelenting assault on the senses. The band's signature blend of death metal and black metal creates a sound that is both powerful and atmospheric. From the opening track "Scattering the Ashes of War" to the final notes of "The Last Breath of the Fallen," the album takes the listener on a journey through the horrors of war.

The musicianship on this album is top-notch. The guitars are heavy and precise, the drums thunderous and unyielding, and the vocals are guttural and intense. The production is also excellent, with each instrument and vocal line given equal attention and space in the mix.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Trenches of War," which features a haunting piano intro before launching into a furious assault of blast beats and tremolo-picked riffs. The song's chorus is also incredibly catchy, with a memorable melody that will stick in your head long after the album has ended.
